Sweeping Passions Photography Showcase

Photographers and digital artists of all levels are invited to submit no more than five (5) images of their artwork for possible inclusion in this showcase. Selected images will be displayed in the Museum of the San Ramon Valley during the Eugene O’Neill Festival in September 2024.

Showcase Theme: The theme is the artist’s interpretation of the sweeping hills and house of the Eugene O’Neill National Historic Site that inspired O’Neill to write his greatest plays. This photography showcase is a visual tribute to Danville’s historic treasure as Tao House takes center stage in this year’s featured production, Mourning Becomes Electra. Photos may include the landscape and buildings, on site. Photos may be taken outside and inside the Eugene O’Neill home during tours open to the public. No tripods please.

Submission and Display: Submission of Digital Images for evaluation must be received by Aug. 15, 2024. These images will be evaluated for inclusion in the Eugene O’Neill Festival 2024 Photography Showcase. (see Submission Form below)

Photographers submitting Outstanding Photographs will be notified by Aug. 17, 2024. Selected photographs and digital images must be framed and brought to the Museum of the San Ramon Valley on Aug. 30, 2024.  Your framed Photos will be displayed during the O’Neill Festival 2024 from Sept. 1 to Oct. 16. Following the O’Neill Festival, you may pick up your framed photographs at the Museum of the San Ramon Valley after Oct. 16, 2024.

Copyright and Usage: Artists retain the copyright to their images. Artists will grant the Eugene O’Neill Foundation the non-exclusive right to use the image on its website and for promotion of the artists’ work and the exhibition.
